The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee. Of all the books that I have read, after the Bible this one has been the most benefit in my life. Strongly Recommended!
‘No Mere Remembrance’ A booklet or small book exploring the relevance of the breaking of bread to our ongoing spiritual growth. Larger type version if wanted.
‘Brother Indeed’ by Frank Holmes. A brief life of Robert Chapman of Barnstaple, an amazingly profound, simple and loving man of God. A challenging read, found on another website and re-formatted as a PDF.
The Exchanged Life A very personal letter from James Hudson Taylor, Christian pioneer in China, on how he learned to abide in Christ. Essential reading!
‘Restoration – Is This Still on God’s Programme?’ We came across this book a few
BOOKS and other authors
Started with just one small book that I wrote in 2017 and now with a few more from other authors, whose names are noted.
Also listed on the A to Z pages
years ago and it deals with some very useful aspects of recent Church history – and its possible future direction. David Lillie was a relatively unknown pioneer in the ‘Renewal’ movement.
‘The Christ-Life for the Self-Life’ A classic by F B Meyer. Originally given as a series of talks in 1897. Clear, direct teaching on the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. Larger type version if wanted.
‘Reborn’ A small booklet which begins to explore more of what it really means to be ‘born again’.
‘The Pilgrim Church’ by E H Broadbent. Here is a real classic of largely unknown church history. Absolutely fascinating and very encouraging. This is a link to another website
‘Designed to Grow’ Exploring God’s Purpose for the Church. I started this soon
after writing ‘No Mere Remembrance’ but only finished it 5 years later! Larger type version if wanted.
‘Leadership Is Male’ is a controversial title for this small book by the late David Pawson. Whether you agree or disagree with the title, this is a subject which deserves some study. This is a link to another website, where you can read and download the complete book, including a later postscript by the author.
